Lady Canes to Host First Round PBC Tournament Game

AMERICUS, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference released the 2022 women's basketball tournament bracket on Saturday following the conclusion of the regular season. The top eight teams in the league standings advance to tournament play, which will begin on Wednesday, March 2, with four quarterfinals games hosted by the higher seeds. The winners of those four games will advance to the semifinals and finals, hosted by the highest remaining seed, on Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6.

The Lady Canes will host Clayton State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., Information on tickets, brackets, schedules, and more can be found on the women's basketball tournament website here.

Lady Canes finished their regular-season play on Wednesday, putting a cap on their most successful campaign as a member of the NCAA. The Hurricanes are the #3 seed, their highest seed in program history with a 22-5 overall record, their most DII wins ever. GSW makes their second straight PBC Tournament appearance and will host a tournament game for the first time in program history.

All tickets for the PBC Tournament game can only be purchased online here starting on Monday morning, the tickets will be $10 for the general public and Georgia Southwestern students will be let in free with their GSW Student ID cards. The Alumni Association will be giving tickets to the first 25 GSW alumni, who are also Canes360 members.
