GAME 1: #16 FLAGLER 5, GSW 0

Mike O'Reilly went the distance for Flagler in the series opener Friday evening, tossing a four-hit shutout.

Starter Earl Dupree (1-7) threw six innings for the Hurricanes and allowed three runs. Matthew Hubbard surrendered a pair of runs during his inning on the hill and Coty Graham struck out two in a scoreless eighth.

O'Reilly (7-2) walked one batter and struck out 11.

Lorenzo Butler from Flagler was the only player with multiple hits in Game 1. Butler went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Nick Kranick hit a two-run homer in sixth.

GAME 2: #16 FLAGLER 5, GSW 2

A four-run second inning by Flagler was too much to overcome for GSW in Game 2 of the weekend series on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints capitalized on a GSW throwing error to extend the second inning and eventually pushed across three unearned runs in the four-run frame.

Zach Barron led off the Hurricanes' fourth inning with a single and eventually scored on ground out to put GSW on the board.

Paul Sorrow delivered a two-out double in the fifth inning to score Will Redding and cut the Flagler lead to 4-2.

The Saints added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth.

GSW was retired in order in the sixth, seventh and ninth innings.

Redding was perfect from the plate in Game 2 as he went 4-for-4 with a run scored. Sorrow added two hits.

Nick Kranick, Todd Juliano, Nick Oberg and Igor Baez collected two hits apiece for Flagler.

GSW starter Lance Shelton (1-4) threw three innings and was charged with four runs, one of which was earned. Shelton allowed seven hits, walked a batter and struck out one. Jordan McIlwain covered the final eight frames, held the Saints to three hits and one run, did not walk a batter and struck out four.

Starter Danny Brown (9-3) went the distance for Flagler. Brown scattered nine hits, did not walk a batter and struck out five.

GAME 3: #16 FLAGLER 0, GSW 1

Dominant pitching was the story of the day in the series finale.

Starting pitchers Dylan Brown for GSW and Nathaniel Abel for Flagler went toe-to-toe for the first 5 1/2 innings. Brown threw five scoreless frames, held the Saints to five hits, walked one and struck out three. Abel went six innings, held the Hurricanes to one hit, did not walk a batter and struck out four.

Then the lightning came. After a two-hour delay it was up to the bullpens of each side to close out the series.

Kyle Romstadt (3-2) was nearly perfect for the Hurricanes as he held Flagler hitless over the final four innings, walked three and struck out four.

GSW needed only two hits off of Michael Hanke (2-2) to pull off the upset.

Paul Sorrow doubled with one out in the seventh, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored two batters later when Josh Tatnall delivered the game-winning single.
