Georgia Southwestern completed a season sweep of Lincoln Memorial University with an 81-67 victory on Tuesday evening at the Storm Dome.

Southwestern led by as many as 17 early on and took a 38-24 lead into the break.  The Hurricanes defense held LMU to 32 percent shooting in the first half.

Lincoln Memorial (5-6) cut the lead to six midway through the second half, but GSW answered with a 16-8 run to push the margin back to 14 points.  The Railsplitters put together one final rally, scoring seven unanswered points, to close the gap to seven with just under five minutes remaining.  However, a 9-0 Hurricane run put the game out of reach and GSW improved to 4-4 on the season.

Anthony Sargent led five Hurricanes in double figures with 16 points. Rick Russell scored 15, Chris Rawls had 13, and Damayrius Adside and Marcus Scott had 12 and 10, respectively.

Lincoln Memorial's D'Mario Curry led all scorers with 17 points. Stuart Miller added 14 and Wadner Joseph had 11 points for LMU.

Southwestern defeated the Railsplitters 83-76 in overtime on November 29th at Lincoln Memorial.

The Hurricanes are back in action on Saturday hosting Francis Marion at 4 p.m.
