Burwell and Raynor Lead Canes to a Win at Limestone

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Georgia Southwestern State University men's basketball team bounced back after losing its last game with a 70-64 victory over the University of Limestone Sunday afternoon at the Timken Center.

 Phillip Burwell and Reggie Raynor had big games as each recorded a team-high 18 points, while each shooting 66, and 55.6 percent from the field respectfully. They were two of three Hurricanes to finish in double figures in scoring, along with Jamari Dean.

 GSW improved its record to 9-8 on the season and 2-6 in Peach Belt Conference play.

 Next Up

Georgia Southwestern will be back home to take on Columbus State (9-9, 2-6) for the first half of their two-game season series. The Hurricanes lost the last meeting to the Cougars. The teams will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
