Knight Fall; Packed House Watches GSW Top Middle Georgia 69-60

AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern men's basketball team extended their winning streak to three games by defeating Middle Georgia State University, 69-60, Thursday morning in front of 2,400 fans on Sumter County Schools Education Day.

Three Hurricanes players scored in double figures JaKwon Moore scored a career high 20 points, shot over 50 percent from the field and hauled in 11 rebounds earning his first career double-double. Jalen Johnson had a solid performance he scored 14 points, shot 50 percent from the field, he hauled in three boards and collected four steals. Christian Koonce added 12 points, and four rebounds in a solid performance.

Bryce Turner was a force inside scoring six points, but his 20 rebound performance helped the Hurricanes secure the victory over the Knights it was his first career double rebound game.

Georgia Southwestern (5-1) will be on the road as they take on Albany State (4-3) for the second time this season. GSW won the first game 84-75 on Nov. 20, and will be looking for the sweep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
