ATLANTA - Georgia Southwestern standout Nate Gahman shot a final round 3-over-par 73 on Sunday at Cherokee Town and Country Club to finish the 90th annual Georgia Amateur Championship tied for 32nd place with a four-day total of 294.

The Georgia Amateur Championship is conducted by the Georgia State Golf Association and brings together 144 of the state's best male amateur golfers for the prestigious state title first won by Bobby Jones in 1916.

The Championship format is 72 holes of stroke play over four days. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 70 players and ties and anyone within 10 strokes of the leader. The cutline fell at 10-over 150 with 73 players advancing.

Gahman, who will begin his junior season with GSW this fall, posted 12 birdies over the tournament and finished 2-under on the par 5 holes.

David Noll Jr., of Dalton won the event with a score of 6-under 274 for his second Georgia Amateur title (2003). Billy Mitchell of Roswell finished four strokes back for second place and current Georgia Tech golfer Anders Albertson of Woodstock took third with an even-par 280.
