NINETY SIX, S.C. - The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team posted the sixth-lowest team score on Sunday morning at the 17-team Bearcat Golf Classic to climb two spots from Day 1 and finish the two-day, three-round event in 11th place. Nicholas Ward led the Hurricanes with a 1-under 73 in the final round to finish tied for 19th overall in the 90-player field with a 7-over 223.

Anders Olsson tied for 20th overall for Southwestern at the par-72, 7,133-yard Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor, a shot behind with Ward. Fraser Johnston carded a 235. Nick Ray tied for 69th with a 237 and Jungsun Lee finished with a 238.

The Hurricanes finished 41 strokes behind team champion No. 20 Georgia College. No. 11 Columbus State was eight strokes back in second place with a 17-over 881 total. Fredrik Lindblom from CSU edged out Bryan Fox from GC for the individual title as he finished a stroke ahead of Fox with a 5-under 211 score.

GSW returns to the links March 31 for the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla.
