Low And Ward Receive Peach Belt Honors

AMERICUS. Ga.- Georgia Southwestern senior Chris Low and sophomore Nicholas Ward were both named to the 16-member Peach Belt Conference men's golf All-Conference team Thursday evening at a banquet in Greenwood, S.C, site of the 2015 PBC golf championships. The 16 golfers were placed on first and second teams. Low and Ward were both selected as second team selections.

Ward, a Eastbourne, England native, is ranked 39th in the NCAA DII GolfStat rankings and leads the Hurricanes with a 72.88 average, firing a season low of 66 on March 16th at the Bobcat Invitational. Throughout the season Ward has placed in a top-ten finish five times and in a top-five finish three times. Ward heads into the championship with the seventh lowest scoring average in the PBC.

Low, a North Berwick, Scotland native, is ranked 63rd in the NCAA DII GolfStat rankings averaging 73.28 for the season and shooting his lowest round of a 68 on October 6th during the North Georgia Fall Invitational  where he tied for first. Low has won one tournament, has been in the top-five once and the top-ten five times this season. Low heads into the championship with the tenth lowest scoring average in the PBC.
