EATONTON, Ga.- The Nationally Ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team finished 10th of 17 teams at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College.

GSW played against 10 teams ranked in the Top-30 of the latest Golfstat Head-to-Head Rankings, seven of which are in the Top-10.

The Hurricanes posted a three-round 902 on the 70-par, 6730 yard course at Cuscowilla Golf Club.

GSW was 38 strokes behind the tournament leaders No. 8 Lynn who posted a three-round 864. No. 5 Florida Southern moved up one spot to take second with an 873 while defending NCAA DII National Champions Nova Southeastern (No. 4) tied for fourth with No. 3 West Florida with an 875.

Six other Peach Belt teams competed in the tournament; No. 29 Columbus finished seventh with an 884, Lander ninth with an 897, Armstrong 11th with a 903, hosts Georgia College 14th with a 909 and  No. 10 USC Aiken and Clayton tied for 15th with a 916.

Nicholas Ward lead the Hurricanes with a three-round 223 to tie for 32nd out of 90 golfers. Ethan Chamineak was one stroke behind teammate Ward with a 224 to tie for 34th and Fraser Johnston posted 230 to tie for 53rd.

Tyler Barker shot a tournament low 74 in Round 3 to finish with a three-round 231 and tie with Hayes Dupree tied for 55th.

The Hurricanes are back on the links April 4 for the Hurricane Invitational hosted by GSW at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Ga.
