ALBANY, Ga.- Ethan Chamineak shot a 70 in Round 2 at the Hurricane Invitational on Monday to lead the No. 16 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team to sit in third of nine teams after Day 1.

The Hurricanes shot a tournament low 299 in Round 2 on the 72-par, 7024 yard course at Doublegate Country Club and are three strokes behind the tournament leaders Darton State College who posted a two-round 601.

Chamineak posted a one-under par, two-round 141 to sit in second of 49 golfers and is two strokes behind the leader Finlay Mason from Darton State.

Nicholas Ward is tied for 13th with a two-round 156, Fraser Johnston posted a 77 in both rounds to sit tied for 17th, Hayes Dupree is tied for 20th with a two-round 155 and Anders Olsson is one stroke behind Dupree to sit tied for 22nd.

Tyler Barker, who is playing as an individual, posted a tournament low 75 in Round 2 to sit tied for 15th.

The Hurricanes begin their final round of play Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
