ORLANDO, Fla.- Senior Ethan Chamineak fired a 70 in Round 2 at the McDonough Cup hosted by Rollins College on Monday to sit tied for fourth of 96 golfers.  

 The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team posted back-to-back 303's to sit 13th of 18 teams after two rounds on the 72-par, 6955 yard course at Rio Pinar Country Club.

Of the 18 teams, five are ranked inside the Top-25 of the DII Bushnell GolfWeek Coaches' Poll with five others receiving votes including GSW.

Rollins College leads the field with a two-round 576 while Flagler and Georgia College are tied for second sitting nine strokes back with a 585. GSW is four strokes behind a three-way tie for tenth.

Chamineak shot a 72 in Round 1 and a tournament low 70 in Round 2 to sit two-under par heading into Round 3.

Freshman Alex Wells posted a two-round 152 (74, 78) to sit tied for 43rd. Nicholas Ward sits three storks back from Wells with a two-round 155 and is tied for 61st. Fraser Johnston and Tyler Barker both shot tournament lows in Round 2 and are tied for 76th with two-round scores of 158.

The Hurricanes wrap up play Tuesday morning for Round 3.
