Hurricanes Eighth After One Round At Newberry Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.- After 18 holes at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island the Georgia Southwestern men's golf team sits in eight place at the Newberry College Invitational on Monday. 

GSW posted a 304 in Round 1 on the 72-par, 6682-yard Ocean Course, Round 2 was suspended due to darkness.

Missouri- St. Louis leads the 16-team field with a 292 and Newberry is tied for second with Clayton State with a 293.

Tyler Barker sits tied for 20th of the 81-player field with a Round 1 score of 75. Ethan Chamineak and Nicholas Ward are one shot back from Barker with a 76 to sit tied for 28th. Alex Wells sits tied for 35th with a 77 and Vincent Norrman posted a 78 to be sit tied for 41st. 

The Hurricanes will finish Round 2 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday followed by Round 3.
