AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern golf team received 13 votes in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released Friday. The Hurricanes are one of the six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams receiving votes in the poll.
The Hurricanes ended their regular season placing fourth at the Bearcat Classic behind five-time PBC Golfer of the Week Vincent Norrman, who finished runner-up in individuals.
In the regional rankings poll, GSW stands 10th place in the Southeast Region.
GSW is looking forward to competing in the PBC Championship, April 19-21 in St. Augustine, Fla. From there, they will await their NCAA Tournament fate once the bracket is officially released following the tournament in hopes that they will be able to return.
