Toure Trio Trips Up Hurricanes

Morrow, Ga. – The men's soccer team traveled to Clayton State to play in a night match against Peach Belt Conference opponent.

The first goal came from Clayton States Alhagi Toure in the 7th minute off a pass from Jonny Evans. The Hurricanes held the score at 1-0 the rest of the half.

Toure continued to pressure the Hurricanes scoring two more goals for the Lakers in the 64th and 77th minute.

The Hurricanes didn't quit there in the next two minutes Pablo Lajeunesse answered Toure with an unassisted goal just outside the 18 yard box.

The next goal game in the 87th minute off a pass from Ron Calle into the middle where Caleb Graves was able to drill a shot into the right side of the goal.

The Lakers were able to run down the last 3 minutes on the clock without any more goals.

Keeper Joe Cullip had 8 saves on the day compared to Clayton States 6.

Five yellow cards were given during this match. Clayton State received 4 of these in the 66th, 80th, 88th, and 89th minute. GSW received one in the 81st minute.

The Hurricane's current standing is 2-9-2 and 3-3-1 in the Peach Belt Conference. The men's soccer team will be back at home to take on PBC opponent Francis Marion University on Saturday, October 26th, at 3:30.
