AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern State University head men's soccer coach Warren Russ has released the program's 2015 schedule that features eight matches at home and seven away from the confines of Hurricane Field.

GSW holds a combined 7-5-2 all-time record against the six non-conference opponents on the slate for 2015.

The Blue & Gold open 2015 at home against Point University on Sept. 3. GSW won last year's inaugural meeting with the Skyhawks, 3-2, in overtime.

The Hurricanes proceed to hit the road for their longest trek of the season, a three-match trip with stops at Middle Georgia State (Sept. 5), UNC Pembroke (Sept. 12) and Faulkner University (Sept. 15). GSW lost the inaugural meeting with Middle Georgia last season and is 3-1 all-time against Faulkner.

Some welcomed home cooking follows with matches at Hurricane Field against Lander on the 19th and Concordia College (Ala.) on the 23rd. The 'Canes only other match against Concordia ended in a scoreless draw in 2013. 

GSW's final non-conference road match of 2015 comes on the 26th at Brewton-Parker College. GSW leads the all-time series against the Barons, 4-2.

The Hurricanes close out September with a Peach Belt Conference home contest on the 30th against Flagler.

A trip to 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifier USC Aiken kicks off October on the 3rd. The following Saturday the 'Canes travel to North Georgia (Oct. 10).

Back-to-back PBC home matches come against Montevallo (Oct. 14) and 2014 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight qualifier and defending PBC champions Young Harris (Oct. 17) before GSW makes its final road trip of the season on the 21st to Clayton State.

Coach Russ & Co. close out the regular season with a pair of home matches. GSW hosts Francis Marion on Oct. 24 with the finale on Nov. 1 against Spring Hill College. GSW is 0-1-1 all-time against the Badgers.
