Saucedo Named Assistant  Men's Soccer Coach

AMERICUS, Ga.- Georgia Southwestern head men's soccer coach Warren Russ has announced the hiring of Daniel Saucedo as his assistant coach for the 2016-17 season.

Saucedo comes to GSW from Clarke Central High School in Athens, Ga. where he served as the assistant coach for the Gladiators and helped them to the quarterfinals last season.

Before Clarke Central, Saucedo coached the U11 and U13 boys team for the Athens United Soccer Association.

The Monterrey, Mexico native played high school soccer at Clarke Central all four years, made the quarterfinals his sophomore year and was named MVP his senior season.

Saucedo went on to play collegiate soccer at Emmanuel College where he received a bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and made the Deans List multiple semesters.

"I look forward to coaching at the collegiate level and starting my journey under coach Russ," Saucedo said. "I am ready for the competitive season to start and can't wait to see what these student-atheltes can do."
