MOBILE, Ala. -- The Georgia Southwestern men's soccer team allowed two goals in the opening 12 minutes Saturday afternoon at Library Field and could never recover in a 5-1 loss to Spring Hill College.

The Hurricanes dropped their fifth straight match and fall to 3-5-1 overall, while Spring Hill has won three of its last four and improved to 4-3.

Alexander Lipinski delivered all the offense Spring Hill would need when he accounted for the first two goals of the match. The opening score came off a converted penalty kick a mere 100 seconds into play. The next goal came off a give-and-go through the GSW defense in the 12th minute.

Spring Hill extended its lead to 3-0 in the 37th minute before GSW could get on the board. Shane Madray and Daniel Mendsen worked together off a corner kick to set up Thiago Elias for his first goal of the season, a header that found the back of the net.

The Hurricanes didn't hold the momentum long as Spring Hill delivered a dagger in the 45th minute, scoring 11 seconds before the halftime break, and tacked on a final score in the 63rd minute.

Spring Hill finished with a 15-1 shots on goal advantage and a slim 3-2 edge in corner kicks. Fouls favored the Hurricanes, 11-10.
