AMERICUS, Ga. --  Georgia Southwestern State University senior Chris Salamatou was named to the 2023 Peach Belt All-Conference First Team revealed by the league office this evening at the annual PBC Tournament banquet.

Salamatou is GSW's first three-time All-PBC selection. He earned second team honors in 2021 and 2022. This fall he started 13 matches and appeared in 14 of the Hurricanes 16 contests, logging 1097 minutes (78.4 per match average). He scored five goals. The native of Niort, France, had a season-best two scores on Sept. 6 at Shorter and again on Oct. 11 at Florida Southern.

Salamatou graduates as one of the most prolific players in program history. He is tied for the GSW lead in career assists and ranks second in career points and goals scored. 

The Hurricanes have 15 all-conference selections in school history with seven coming in the last three seasons.
