AMERICUS - The No. 3 Hurricane Highlight of the 2013 men's tennis season came off a strong, team-wide year of academic excellence.

On April 12, the team was honored with the 2012-13 Hurricane President's Cup at the end of the year athletics banquet. The honor is awarded to the men's athletic team that earned the highest team GPA over the past school year.

Led by Evgeniy Vinogradov, who finished his sophomore year with a 3.929 GPA, the team finished with an average of 3.275.

Vinogradov, a computer engineering major, was awarded as Georgia Southwestern's male student athlete of the year.

In addition to Vinogradov, junior Chris Eastwood (3.69, computer science), junior Stephen Moore (3.81, chemistry), junior Matt Vansant (3.74, accounting) earned All-PBC academic recognition.
