GSW Men’s Tennis Earns PBC Sportsmanship Award

AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern has been selected as the 2015 Peach Belt Conference Team Sportsmanship Award winner in men's tennis.

The Peach Belt honors one team annually from each of its 15 championship sports.

This is the fourth time in five years that the men's tennis team led by head coach Brennon Sewell has received the team sportsmanship award and the fifth time in the seven-year history of the PBC awards program.

The GSW Athletic Department has won 14 team sportsmanship awards.

The PBC Sportsmanship Award program presents an award following each championship season to the team in that sport that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class. Points are awarded based on how each team finished in the voting and in June, the institution with the highest totals will receive the 'PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.'

The league's Senior Administrators oversee the program.
