AMERICUS, Ga.- Georgia Southwestern sophomore softball player Mikela Barlow broke the program's record for most doubles in a season and is leading the Peach Belt Conference this spring in the same category with 17.

The previous Lady Hurricanes doubles record was 15 held in a tie by Gabby Buck (2010), Janna Anderson (2013) and Avery Purser (2013). Barlow hit her 15th double on March 22 against Emmanuel College and broke the record on March 25 against Young Harris College.

Barlow is currently eighth in the GSW doubles career record, Buck leads with 30, Rachel McElroy is second with 29 and Purser is third with 23.
