AMERICUS, Ga.- Freshman Hayley Tierce broke the Georgia Southwestern softball home run season record on Saturday at Lady 'Canes Field.

The previous Lady Hurricanes season home run record was 14 held by Keri Tompkins who set it last season. Tierce is only five home runs away from tying the GSW career record which is also held by Tompkins and set last season. 

Tierce is currently ranked fourth in home runs in NCAA Division II and leads the Peach Belt Conference.

Tierce is also ranked sixth in NCAA DII in RBIs with 45. She leads the PBC in slugging percentage with .844, leads the PBC in total bases with 108. and is second in the PBC in RBIs.
