No. 24 Clayton State defeats Lady 'Canes, 81-65

GSW was outscored 41-25 over the final 15 minutes against No. 24-ranked Clayton State and fell 81-65 on "Pack the House in Pink" night at the Storm Dome, Wednesday, as part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association initiative to increase breast cancer awareness.

Two Brandi Burris free throws pulled GSW to within 42-40 at the 14:36 mark, but that's when the Lakers used an 18-5 run over a four-minute span to pull away for the win.

Nikkisha Pritchett led Clayton (18-4, 12-3) with 22 points, and Shanrika Hardeman had 19.

Whitley Wiltz, Nadirah Gardner, Brittany Reynolds and Terra Branch all scored 13 points apiece for GSW (6-16, 1-14).

Clayton shot 50 percent for the game and forced 28 turnovers.

GSW trailed 32-25 at the break behind 35 percent shooting.

The Lady 'Canes are on the road the next four games before returning for homecoming on Feb. 28 against Augusta State.
