FLORENCE, Ala. - A career-high 24 points from Brittany Reynolds was not enough for the Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team Saturday afternoon at Flowers Hall as North Alabama defeated the Lady Hurricanes, 77-59.
 
It was a tale of two halves for GSW shooters. The Lady 'Canes finished the first half hitting 41 percent from the floor (16-of-39) to build a three-point lead at the break (37-34). However, GSW, playing their second game in less than 24 hours, went cold in the second half and saw their shooting drop to 19 percent (7-of-36).
 
Southwestern had more rebounds (53-49), fewer turnovers (17-14) and more steals (9-2) than UNA, but poor shooting down the stretch, including a 0-of-9 showing from beyond the arc in the second stanza, sealed the fate of the Lady 'Canes (4-4) and dipped their overall record on the season back to the .500 mark.
 
UNA held a 37-14 points in the paint advantage.

Whitley Wiltz added 10 points and seven rebounds for Southwestern. Kanita Holloway pulled down a season-high 12 boards.

Five UNA players finished in double figures, led by Lacy Lewis' 19 points. Lewis finished with a double-double as she pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds. Sanqueeta Meardith added 14 points. Kierra McCleary scored 12 and Niala Harris and Jameica York chipped in 11 points apiece.

GSW returns to action on December 13, hosting Saint Leo at 2:00 p.m.
