MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia Southwestern Lady Hurricanes couldn't find enough offense to get past the Georgia College Lady Bobcats Tuesday evening as they dropped a 54-43 contest in Bobcat Arena.

Georgia Southwestern trailed 29-26 at the half, but Georgia College (3-3, 1-0 PBC) used a 10-0 run midway through the second half to secure a victory.

A cold shooting second half which only produced 17 points on 26 percent shooting (7-27) was too much for the Lady Hurricanes to overcome. Southwestern was held to a season low 43 points on the night as they dropped their Peach Belt Conference opening contest.

Jasmine McSwain led the Lady 'Canes in scoring with 12 points on the night. Danisha Green added 8 points and 8 rebounds for Georgia Southwestern (1-6, 0-1 PBC).

The pair also served as catalysts for a GSW defense that tallied 18 steals on the evening. They accounted for five takeaways a piece for the Blue and Gold.

GCSU was led by Krysta Lewis who led all scorers with 18 points and Enisha Donley added 17 for the Bobcats.

GSW will be back in action this Saturday as they return to the Storm Dome to take on Clayton State for a 1:30 p.m. contest.
