Women's soccer loses second straight
MILLEDGEVILLE - Less than a week after finishing the Quality Inn/Hurricane Invitational a perfect 2-0, the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team struggled at the Little Feet Invitational and finished 0-2 after dropping a Saturday afternoon decision to Brewton-Parker, 3-0.
 
BPC opened its scoring in the 38th minute and took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
 
The Lady Barons added a goal in the 74th minute and completed the scoring in the 82nd minute.
 
Brewton-Parker (1-5) finished with a 14-12 shots advantage, while GSW held the edge in corner kicks, 9-6
 
Amber Bahri made seven saves in her first start of the season between the pipes for the Lady Hurricanes. Mallory Lashley stopped six for BPC.
 
Brittney Hill and Courtney Simpson tied with a match-high three shots on goal apiece for GSW.
 
Southwestern returns to Milledgeville on Wednesday to open Peach Belt Conference play against Georgia College at 7 p.m.
