Lady 'Canes fall behind early, lose 4-0 to UNCP
The UNC Pembroke women's soccer team scored three goals in the first half and cruised to a 4-0 win over Georgia Southwestern Saturday afternoon at Hurricane Field. 

GSW falls to 2-9 overall and 0-5 in the Peach Belt Conference, while UNCP improves to 10-1-1 and 5-1 in the PBC.

Brittany Padilla knocked in a header off a corner kick from Anna Svensson less than two minutes into the contest to give the Lady Braves a quick lead. Padilla added the final score of the afternoon in the 73rd minute when she converted a penalty kick for her fifth goal of the season.
 
Sheena Mature (20:37) and Svensson (44:10) added scores for UNCP.  

UNCP led the Lady 'Canes 15-2 in shots on goal and 14-3 in corner kicks. 

Courtney Allison stayed busy between the pipes, tallying 10 saves for GSW. 

Southwestern hosts No. 25 North Georgia at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
