The UNC Pembroke women's
soccer team scored three goals in the first half and cruised
to a 4-0 win over Georgia Southwestern Saturday afternoon at
Hurricane Field.
GSW falls to 2-9 overall and 0-5 in the Peach Belt Conference, while UNCP improves to 10-1-1 and 5-1 in the PBC.
Brittany Padilla knocked in a header off a corner kick from Anna Svensson less than two minutes into the contest to give the Lady Braves a quick lead. Padilla added the final score of the afternoon in the 73rd minute when she converted a penalty kick for her fifth goal of the season.
