The 25th-ranked North Georgia women's soccer team scored
five times in the second half to cruise to a 7-0 win over Georgia
Southwestern Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field.
GSW falls to 2-10 overall and 0-6 in the Peach Belt
Conference, while NGCSU improves to 12-1 and 6-0 in the PBC.
Danielle Brannan led the Lady Saints attack with two goals (18:56,
81:07).
Emily Dover (27:33), Kelsey Martin (76:33), Emily Bowen (82:37), Sara Kate Rogers (88:31) and Caroline Wallace (89:35) added scores for NGCSU. Bowen and Rogers each picked up an assist, as well.
After taking a 2-0 lead into the halftime break, North Georgia put the game out of reach with three goals in a six minute span, the first coming in the 77th minute.
North Georgia led the Lady 'Canes 16-0 in shots on goal and 11-0
in corner kicks.
Courtney Allison stayed busy between the pipes, tallying nine
saves for GSW.
Southwestern hosts Montevallo at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
