AMERICUS - Paige Scott scored the only two goals of the match and led Montevallo to a 2-0 win over Georgia Southwestern in women's soccer action on Saturday at Hurricane Field.

Scott put UM on the board early when she looped a 12-yard shot over GSW goalkeeper Courtney Allison in the third minute for a 1-0 advantage.

The insurance goal came from Scott at the 56:02 mark when her shot from 10 yards out hit the cross bar and bounced in for her third goal of the season.

UM (4-8-2, 2-4-1 PBC) held an 11-3 shots on goal advantage and led 11-1 in corner kicks.

Allison finished with nine saves for GSW. Alyssa Maxwell stopped three for Montevallo.

Southwestern (2-11, 0-7) travels to Clayton State on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. match.
