MORROW - The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team allowed a
goal in each half and dropped its 11th-straight road match, a
2-0 decision to Clayton State on Wednesday evening at Laker
Field.
Clayton State (5-9, 3-6 PBC) scored in the 30th and 84th minutes.
CSU held an 8-2 shots on goal advantage, while Southwestern led 2-0
in corner kicks.
Goalkeeper Courtney Allison made six saves for the Lady
Hurricanes.
GSW (2-12, 0-8) has failed to score a goal in 10 straight matches,
but looks to put an end to the streak on Saturday when USC Aiken
comes to town for a 1 p.m. match. Southwestern's
last point in the conference standings (three earned for
a win, one for a tie) came after a tie at home
against USCA in 2008.
