Georgia Southwestern State University head women’s soccer coach Tony Economopoulos has released the program’s 2010 schedule that features 10 matches at home, five on the road and two contests at a neutral site.

GSW starts the 2010 campaign with four consecutive home matches - kicking things off on Friday, September 3 against Thomas University. The Lady Hurricanes have played Thomas every year since the GSW program launched in 2004.

Sunshine State Conference representative Eckerd comes to town two days later.

The Lady 'Canes host the third annual Quality Inn/Hurricane Invitational the weekend of September 10-12. GSW faces Florida College on Friday and concludes the invite on Sunday against LaGrange College.

Matches against Barry University and Dowling College (N.Y.) await GSW in Milledgeville on Sept. 17 and 19, respectively, as part of the second annual Little Feet Invitational.

The Lady Hurricanes first road contest comes on Sept. 22 with a return to Milledgeville to open the Peach Belt Conference portion of the schedule against Georgia College.

Southwestern ends September in Americus with a match against Armstrong Atlantic on the 25th.

October begins with a pair of road contests - Lander on the 2nd and reigning PBC champions Columbus State on the 6th.

Three consecutive home matches - UNC Pembroke on Oct. 9, North Georgia three days later and finally Montevallo on the 16th – compose the middle of the conference schedule.

On Oct. 20, Southwestern travels to Clayton State before returning to Hurricane Field to host USC Aiken on the 23rd.

The Lady 'Canes final Peach Belt match is on Oct. 27 at Flagler.

Alabama-Huntsville arrives in Americus on Oct. 30 for the regular season finale.

The Peach Belt Conference Tournament begins on Tuesday, November 2 with the quarterfinals being played on the campus of the higher seed. The tournament moves to Blanchard Woods Park in Evans for semifinal and championship action on Nov. 5-7.
