AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern State University head women's soccer coach Samantha Snow has released the program's 2013 schedule that features eight matches at home and nine away from the confines of Hurricane Field.

The Blue & Gold open 2013 on the road for three-consecutive matches starting with a trip to St. Petersburg, Fla. on Sept. 5 for a meeting with Eckerd College. The Tritons lead the all-time series against GSW, 2-0, with both matches ending in 2-1 scores. The two schools haven't met since 2010.

The Lady Hurricanes travel across Old Tampa Bay on Interstate 275 two days later to face the University of Tampa in a first-ever meeting.

Peach Belt Conference play for Southwestern begins on Sept. 14 with a trip to UNC Pembroke.

The home opener for Coach Snow & Co. finally comes on Sept. 17 against Converse College. GSW has won both meetings with the Valkyries, the last a 2-0 decision in 2009. The Converse tilt kicks off a three-match homestand. A first-ever meeting with Coker College takes place in Americus on the 19th before Lander University visits on the 21st.

A pair of intrastate non-conference matchups round out September with trips to Thomas University on the 25th and Georgia Gwinnett on the 28th.

October is kicked off with a visit from Flagler College on the 2nd. 

After a trip to USC Aiken (Oct. 5), GSW entertains 2012 NCAA Sweet 16 qualifier Columbus State on the 9th.

A weekend trip to North Georgia (Oct. 12) is followed by home matches with the University of Montevallo (Oct. 16) and Young Harris College (Oct. 19).

The final regular-season road trip starts with a short ride north to meet Clayton State on the 23rd followed by a jaunt to Savannah for a contest with the 2012 PBC regular-season champs and NCAA Elite 8 qualifiers from Armstrong.

The Lady Hurricanes return home to close out the 2013 campaign with the PBC finale against Georgia College on the 30th.

Senior Day ceremonies will take place on Oct. 19 prior to the match with Young Harris.
