MACON, Ga.- Middle Georgia State (7-1) was able to score late into the game to take a 1-0 win over the Georgia Southwestern woman's soccer team (2-5) Friday afternoon at Mount de Sales Field.

The Lady 'Canes played hard and tough against the Knights keeping it scoreless up util the end. In the 89th minute Marissa Parker headed the ball into the net to keep the game from going into overtime.

Drew Endreson, Mercedes Benitez and Ella Hawkins all had shot on goal for the Lady 'Canes.

Emily Jones played all 90 minutes between the pipes for GSW and made seven saves.

The Lady 'Canes are back home Wednesday to host Flagler College at 3:30 p.m.
