2nd Annual "Coat For A Coke" Clothing Drive

AMERICUS, Ga.- The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team is holding the 2nd annual "Coat For A Coke" clothing drive Saturday, October 17 during both soccer matches.

Bring new or gently used coats and clothing to the games and you will receive a Coke product.

Kids coats and clothing will be donated to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and adult coats and clothing will be given to the the Clothes Closet of Sumter County.

Items may be dropped off prior to Saturday's match at the GSW Athletic Department offices inside the Storm Dome.

Last year the women's soccer team received over 50 donated coats and won an award for  community service.

"Coat for a Coke" won the SunTrust Connecting Communities Award which is designed to recognize efforts undertaken by PBC member institutions to reach out and be a partner with their local and regional communities.

The Lady Hurricanes will host Young Harris on the 17th at 1 p.m. and the men follow at 3:30 p.m.
