[SATURDAY] World Autism Awareness Day

[SATURDAY] World Autism Awareness Day

AMERICUS, Ga. - April is World Autism Month and head women's soccer coach Samantha Snow and the women's soccer team will be hosting a Blue Day for World Autism Day on April 2.

This will be the eighth annual World Autism Awareness Day and every year autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.

This year the Lady 'Canes sold #LightItUpBlue T-shirts. They will be wearing these shirts for their home games on April 2, and encourage everyone to wear their shirt and use #LightItUpBlue with any pictures taken with them.

There will be shirts available for purchase at their games for $20. Game times are at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

All money raised will be going to the Central Georgia Autism Center of Navicent Health which provides education, therapy and counseling for autistic children and their families.
