Lady Canes complete Best Season in Program History

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team was eliminated from the Peach Belt Conference tournament Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Canes are the first team in school history to compete in the Peach Belt Conference tournament. In Kerry Edwards's first year they broke the record for wins winning three more games than the previous winningest team, playing five fewer games as well.

Starting a true freshman at goal for the majority of the year the Lady Canes had more clean sheets than any team in program history. The Lady Canes will lose only one senior this season and look to improve next year with all of their returning players.
