COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University women's tennis team traveled to Columbus, Ga to face off against Columbus State University. CSU defeated the Hurricanes 7-0 Wednesday afternoon at the John Walden Tennis Center.

The Hurricanes best singles performance went to Maya Boynton as she was able to keep the set close as she battled in the first set losing (7-5) and lost the second set (6-0)

The best doubles performance by the hurricanes went to Sofya Kanarskaya and Geanna Richard who were defeated in their set (6-2)

The Hurricanes will come back home to take on Young Harris College 11 a.m. Thursday afternoon.
