AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University women's tennis team faced off against eighth-ranked University of North Georgia on Sunday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex. UNG defeated the Hurricanes, 7-0.

The Hurricanes best singles performance went to Sofya Kanarskaya at No. 2 as she was able to keep the set close as she battled in the first set losing, 6-3, and lost the second set, 6-3.
The best doubles performance by the hurricanes went to Madeline Barnes and Lina Benjelloun who were defeated in their set, 6-1.
The Hurricanes will travel to Albany, Ga., on Tuesday to face Albany State University at 2:00 p.m. from the Albany State Tennis Complex.
