AMERICUS, Ga. - Georgia Southwestern State University senior baseball player Dylan Brown has been named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

Brown turned in a masterful performance in the rubber game of the weekend series at Augusta University. After getting out of a jam with runners on second and third with one out in the first inning, he retired 11 Jaguars in a row. Brown retired the side in order in the second, third and fourth innings and took a no-hitter into the seventh. He scattered two hits over seven innings, walked five and struck out seven.

Brown, a native of Dacula, Ga., becomes the first Hurricane since 2009 to earn the PBC's Pitcher of the Week honor.
