AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team wins in extras as they defeated Auburn University Montgomery 4-3 Wednesday night. The Hurricanes never trailed at any point of the game.

Auburn Montgomery came roaring back in the seventh and eighth innings due to clutch hitting and GSW errors which made the score 3-3 going into the ninth inning.

Neither team scored in the ninth inning the winning hit came from Grant McDonel as he hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning that scored the runner from second base and gave the Canes the victory over Auburn Montgomery.

The Hurricanes are now 2-1 on the season as they hope to keep the winning going as they will take on Claflin University (0-3) in a three-game weekend series first pitch Friday at 6:00 p.m.
