AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team gets back in the win column as they defeat Lander University 5-2 on Friday night.

Paul Hegeman had a great game behind the plate going 3-for-4 and adding an rbi he currently leads the team in home runs (4) and RBIs (18) and is hitting .319 on the season. 

Hegeman was one of three Hurricanes to have multi-hit games joining him were Cory Lee and Kalvin Alexander.

Lee went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Alexander hit the Hurricanes only home run of the game on the night he went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBIs. 

Nick McCollum gets his second win of the season he pitched seven innings striking out a game-high 13 batters he allowed only one run on two hits. 

Grant Adams earns his second save of the season striking out two Lander batters to close the game. 

GSW will stay home as they continue their three-game weekend series against Lander at 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
