AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern Baseball get back into the win column with the two-game sweep of Barry University.

Game 1 W, 9-7

GSW got their offense going early as they scored two runs in the bottom of the second on an error and a Garret Bradley rbi single. 

GSW continued their scoring in the next inning on a two-run home run from Reid Ragsdale giving the Canes a 4-1 lead..

Berry went on to score two runs in the following innings cutting the Canes lead to just one run.

In the eighth inning both teams scored four runs GSW scored their runs thanks to a grand slam from Kalvin Alexander that sealed the victory for the Canes as they went on to win game one 9-7.

Grant Adams earned his fourth win only pitching 2/3 of an inning. 

Reid Ragsdale had a great game as he went 4-for-4 behind the plate scoring three runs and collecting two RBIs.

 Game 2 W, 8-4

Barry drew first blood scoring on a homerun from the leadoff hitter in the first inning. 

GSW struck back with a run of their own on a Cory Lee fielders choice rbi scoring Garret Bradley. 

The game was a back and forth affair until the fifth inning with the Canes scoring five runs on four hits giving the Canes the 7-2 lead.

A two-run home run in the sixth inning that cut the Canes lead 8-4. 

Victor Sanchez was the player of the game going 3-for-3 with three RBIs as well as scoring two runs.

GSW held on to win the game 8-4 winning the series two games to one.

The Hurricanes will stay home to face off against West Georgia (25-7, 13-5) Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
