AMERICUS, Ga.  -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team completed a three-game Peach Belt Conference series sweep of the University of North Georgia with a 6-5 comeback win on Sunday afternoon at Hurricane Stadium.

UNG had the momentum through the first three innings collecting four runs and five hits giving them a 4-0 lead on the Hurricanes.

GSW tied the game in the bottom of the fourth Reid Ragsdale ignited the Canes with a walk GSW then recorded four straight singles from Victor Sanchez, Garrett Bradley, Paul Hegeman, and Jared White GSW scored four runs tieing game.

The Hurricanes broke the tie in the fifth thanks to a Reid Ragsdale RBI double that gave the Canes a 5-4 lead. GSW added to the lead in the following inning on a Jake Blinstrub RBI single GSW had a two-run lead heading into the seventh inning.

North Georgia counterpunched with a solo home run in the top of the ninth but was too little too late the Nighthawks were unable to tie the game.

Mike Monduy started the game he pitched 2 2/3 innings giving up five hits and three earned runs.

Colby Gordon pitched another great game coming out of the bullpen tossing four shutout innings while earning his third win of the season.

Joseph Roden pitched the final two innings to record his fourth save of the season.
