AMERICUS, Ga.  -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team were defeated by non-conference opponent Embry-Riddle University on Tuesday Night.

GSW jumped out to an early 4-0 lead two of the runs came off a triple from Victor Sanchez, Reid Ragsdale, and Paul Hegeman each recorded a hit and an RBI.

After a scoreless second inning Embry-Riddle recorded four hits and scored five runs in the inning as they took the 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the third.

The Hurricanes retook the lead in the fifth thanks to two hits and an error from the Eagles Canes now led 6-5.

The Eagles spoiled the game for GSW scoring a run in the seventh, and eighth innings as they now lead 7-6.

GSW could not score in the final inning and went down 7-6 the Canes used four pitchers Grant Adams started the game but the loss went to Joseph Roden

The Hurricanes will stay home concluding their regular season hosting Flagler College in a three game weekend series starting Friday at 6:00 p.m.
