Once again, the Canes came into the Storm Dome with their game
faces on. They managed to bag another victory, in what began as a
tightly contested game. The Canes fought it out, winning over
Florida Memorial by a score of 89-77.
Anthony Sargent led the way with 26 points for the night. Aaron
Wyatt chipped in 17 points, and Frederick Jackson was just one
rebound shy of a double-double, with 20 points and 9 rebounds for
the Hurricanes.
Florida Memorial's Mario Stangnaro and Andre Beauford scored 21
points each.
The GSW Hurricanes extend their winning record to 3-0, and ride
high into the Thanksgiving holiday. Next week they host Albany
State, on Monday at 7:30 pm, followed by their conference opener
versus Columbus State, on Wednesday at 7:30 pm, at the Storm
Dome.
Also don't miss the Lady Hurricanes, as they host the University of
West Georgia, on Tuesday night at 5:30 pm.
