ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Trayce Macon and Phillip Brown each posted double-doubles as Georgia Southwestern knocked off Flagler 80-76 on Saturday.

Macon had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Brown had 15 and 12 as the 16th-ranked Hurricanes rebounded from Thursday's loss at Armstrong Atlantic.

GSW (17-5, 10-3 PBC) has yet to lose consecutive games this season.

"It was a huge road win," said coach Mike Leeder. "I thought them and Armstrong were both good offensively and very difficult to guard, and we didn't defend well. I thought it would be a very difficult road trip, and it was. I was glad to get a split."

Brown played three minutes in the first half with foul trouble, and Macon had one rebound in Thursday's loss. But on Saturday with the two on the floor, GSW outscored Flagler by 29 points.

The Hurricanes trailed by as many as 10 in the first half before rallying for a 36-35 halftime lead, and they led by as many as eight in the second half.

Colin Slotter had a game-high 23 points, and Evan Mobley chipped in 17.

The difference came at the free-throw line. GSW was 21 of 22 while Flagler was 5 of 15.

GSW remains two games ahead in the West entering this week's play.
