MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia Southwestern men's basketball team matched a season low for points in a game Saturday afternoon in the Centennial Center as Georgia College defeated the Hurricanes, 69-59.

The last time GSW was held to 59 points was season opener at Fort Valley State on Nov. 14, where the Hurricanes lost, 66-59.

GSW continues to struggle on the road with its road record dipping to 1-9 this season, 6-12 overall and 4-7 in the Peach Belt Conference. Georgia College improved to 11-8, 5-5 in the PBC.

The Hurricanes fell behind 8-2 out of the gate, trailed by 11 with just over three minutes left in the first half and went into the break down, 33-25.

GSW pulled within seven points of the Bobcats on two occasions in the second period. The first, when Brandon Price drained a 3-pointer for GSW's first bucket of the half and the second time when Tyrone Wooten sank a free throw at the 6:55 mark to make the score 57-50. That's as close as the Hurricanes would get.

Georgia College finished with more rebounds (38-27) and second chance points (23-7) in the contest while swatting away 11 GSW shots.

Price led GSW with 14 points. Wooten added 11. Cameron Dozier scored nine points and dished out five of the Hurricanes nine assists.

Georgia College was led by Desmond Mitchell-LaFlam with 22 points and Kohl Roberts added 20. Isaac Thomas grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Hurricanes return to Americus for GSW Homecoming Week and a three-game homestand starting with Columbus State on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
