Canes Receive Some Love In Latest National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's basketball team received a vote in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches/NCAA Division II poll released Tuesday afternoon. 

GSW has a 2-0 record after picking up wins at Albany State (Nov. 15) and against Fort Valley State (Nov. 21). 

The Hurricanes are one of two Peach Belt Conference schools currently receiving at least a vote in the poll. Francis Marion (4-0) also garnered one vote. 

GSW has spent 13 weeks ranked in the Top 25 since joining the NCAA in 2006-07, with the last time coming Jan. 7, 2014, when the Hurricanes earned the No. 18 spot.

The Hurricanes are back in action Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. contest in the Storm Dome against USC Aiken.
