Dean Notches Second PBC Player of the Week Award

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Sophomore Georgia Southwestern men's basketball player Jamari Dean picked up his second Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week award after averaging 27 points and 13.5 rebounds last week.  

Dean started the week putting up a career-high 33 points and 16 rebounds as GSW fell to Clayton State, 81-80. Dean followed up his best output of the season with scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds as GSW beat Georgia College, 72-68. He shot 58% for the week with two assists, two steals and two blocks.

He currently leads the PBC and is ranked 10th in NCAA DII with 10.1 rebounds per game while sitting third with 18.9 points per game. 

Dean's first POW award came during the week of Nov. 18.
