Hurricanes Fall Just Short Against Livingstone

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern men's basketball team fell short in another second-half comeback attempt on Saturday afternoon. The Hurricanes endured a blazing start by Livingstone College matched with a slow start for the Hurricanes and headed into the locker room down 17 points. Livingstone College shot 66.7% from three in the first half and 50% overall having five fewer turnovers than the Hurricanes in the same span.

The second half looked like a completely different GSW squad as they had only four turnovers the rest of the game after having 12 in the first. The second half was the polar opposite for Livingstone after shooting 66.7% from three in the first, Livingstone missed all five attempts from beyond the arc in the second as the Hurricanes looked to make their second double-digit comeback of the week. The Hurricanes brought the once 17 point game down to five late but couldn't quite make it back as they finished with a six-point loss in Greenwood, S.C.

The Hurricanes finish their weekend in the Lander University Classic on Sunday against Johnson C. Smith University.
